Probably Vetsulin. Riley gets about .25ml 2x daily of Novolin.

We're going again for a curve next and that will pretty much set his dosage for the next year or so.

E collar is the bomb. One of the best training tools.. BUT!!!!!!!!! Read up on that ish. Like a lot. And then read some more. E collar won’t come in to play for a while.

those are two good names to google for dog training tutorials for your Mal. There are lots more I am sure but those are two I’ve been using for years.

I’ve seen them both. I want to do as much as I can based off food/toys. Then move on to that when she has the basics down.....I’m thinking 6 months to a year range

Nice. E collar is one of those things that’ll take a little bit of time to acclimate and get her to know what it means, tic vs buzz vs super buzz. But once she’s got it it’s great. My dog has one that has a mile range, but to be honest I hardly ever have to press a button anymore. Plus that son of a bitch knows when it’s on and when it’s off.

Dude, I’ve been training mine for 3 1/2 years! They are crazy, yes...but they are amazing and fun. It is a commitment with a Malinois, they will test you every. Single. Day.
The reward is, if you work with her, she will be the most loyal, loving, FUN dog you will ever have. Don’t give up on her, keep her in line, keep her busy (all puppies need to be productively busy), and play with her. Those teeth need to bite, mine still loves to “play” bite...
Wear her ass out, they love to go go go! Your efforts will not go unrewarded! Oh, and she never had an E-collar
Obligatory pic, after running and playing and likely biting

As of now, she gets two walks and three to four five to ten minute obedience work times. So far so good, but I can tell it needs to start being upped. Just got back from a bit of a longer walk a couple min ago. Ha!! She planted toward the end and is just done for the night!! Came in, ate, and passed out in her crate! They really are much better tired. She is not a cuddler AT ALL, but she LOVES being rubbed on and told how well she is doing.

    beautiful dog!!

You’re right. I’ve watched a pair of them at the local dog park training together. Absolutely amazing dogs. So much energy, strength, intelligence. Pure athleticism.

Thanks, yours is beautiful as well. How old is she now? Mine was chewing up couches and stuff at a young age if she didn't get enough attention. (Side note: NOT MY FAULT! I was traveling for work at the time, and told my wife to keep her busy!) We have since called any and all exercise with her, "Exercising the Demon!", because otherwise, someone is going to be upset with her in some way, shape, or form. Even after a hard run at the park, she will take a 7 minute nap, and present a BALL to you to start it all over again. You sir, have made a very big commitment, she will reward you for your efforts with her loyalty and love! Keep at it!
No pics this time, new computer...none on file.

she will be three months next week. Growing like a weed and pissing me off daily

I call her my little gremlin! She always leads with her teeth!

thankfully nothing has been ruined yet, but she is also still in the middle of potty training and she is very much being treated like a dog. If I can’t watch her, she is in the crate. For now this is working well. She gets LOTS of exercise between walks and indoor play and then crashes the rest of the time.

Mental stuff is the hardest for me because she gets overwhelmed so quickly and 5 minutes is not enough to make her mentally tired. Lots of toys for her to play with and that helps for sure!

Ha! Everyone told me I was crazy when I got her, but i had researched enough to know what I was getting in to. So far, she is just as hard as I imagined! I really can’t wait for her to get a little older ;)

I honestly wish I had gotten my Dutchie as a pup instead of the wild and free 2 year old spirit he was

Hes 4 now and weve corrected most issues but what a difficult task

He still tests me daily and will make it very clear when he's bored or antsy

He'll run 2 or 3 miles at a time, take a 5 minute water/nap break...then be ready to go again

I've taken to hiding things from him and feeding him out of puzzles to get him thinking when I'm busy...and we just added a chocolate lab puppy to the pack so he's really grumpy right now

LOVE the puzzle idea! I may have to do this. Bully sticks and kong treats are saving me at the moment, but no idea how long that will last
