OP: ARE’s are more than sturdy enough for your RTT. I have a MX, but just wanted to say whichever shell you get, be sure to order pet screens (reinforced screens) for it. They are awesome for pets and gear for protection of your bug screens.

I think they are Rhino Rack Tracks... say that fast 3x

I ordered the racks with the shell and the extra 500lb roof load option.

The racks are standard Prinsu racks

Might get some of those bed stiffeners...what’s a good brand?

The total chaos ones look decent. I want something some what petite with decent tie down points. Those look like winners.

I installed total chaos and love them. I don’t think there are any bad ones out there but TC has always had a great reputation and they are rock solid.

My recommendation is inspect your snugtop closely upon delivery. Mine had fine scratches in the rear glass and chips in the paint. I didn't notice the former for several days. Since I don't see it 99% of the time due to dust I just let it go. The dealer had a mobile guy come and fix the paint though. My rear brake light on the shell is slightly crooked along with the rear glass, but none of the windows leak so I'm good. I thought no the snugtop rebel has some great lines as far as matching the style of the Tacoma. I have yet to see a shell that fits super snug with the shape of a Tacoma cab, and if your bed is crooked at all from the factory you'll definitely notice it now with the shell on.

Looks solid man. Do you have a picture of the truck from the back with the shell closed?

So far I'm thinking of getting a Leer 100XL, but I stopped at a small shop near me to see what they had and they sell Ranch shells instead. The Icon model looks to be pretty much the same, or very similar, as the 100XL, but $600 or so cheaper. Anyone used Ranch toppers and how are they? Haven't heard of them before, so wondering if anyone here has and if they are as good of quality as the bigger names like Leer, ARE, etc. that are common around here.

Decided on the Leer 100XL topper and have it on order now and should be here in a few weeks. I've got to make a decision - are bed stiffeners needed or is it worth getting them? Is the weight of the topper enough to worry about? I don't plan on a RTT but may have a canoe up there every so often. Figure if I'm going to do them I should before the topper is on, so now would be the time! Are the bed sides really bad enough to need the stiffeners?

Anyone using them? Anyone not using them and noticing sides flexing with their topper?

Great looking truck. I have a 2019 TRD PRO in voodoo blue, but don't have many mods yet. Color grows more on me more every day. It was gleaming in the dealers showroom when I bought it. Thanks, Tacomaworld! $$$

I am not using bed stiffners, and have not seen any reason to get them. I do need to address a sagging rear end, though.

I know it has been a minute since you posted this but what is the clearance between your decked system and the top of the shell?? Thanks!
