Changed all my brakes and now I don’t get good pressure on my brakes

    Could you clarify this statement.

    What is clearing the BRAKE PATAS?
    And What the hell is a Brake Patas?
    And What are you going to bend?

    My head is exploding!

    Backing plate idk what happens there lol, but yeah something is scraping when it I hit the brakes and only going past 30mph

    Is it a rotational scraping sound? If it is scraping it should be easy to locate looking for fresh wear marks.

    Sounds are hard to pinpoint, it could be the other side...

    Yeah I did but it just on that backing plate, well when you take the drum cover then you see the brake shoes and all that fun stuff then there is like a lip on the end of the pads that’s where is scraping I just want to know how much clearance I have to bend it a little bit

    3in lift (Bilstein 5100, AAL), Bull Bar with halogen Hella Fogs and High Beams
    The drum has a groove in it, and the dust shield which is affixed to the backing plate sits in this groove to “seal it off” from dust and road debris. I bet this is what the OP is referring to. They can get bent pretty easily and I bet that’s what the noise is.

    Oh wait this is the second gen forum, pretty sure rear drums are a similar design as my first gen tho
