@LostHusker and the SuperCharger thread got my thoughts rolling yesterday about regearing and cost.

anyone have a solid Regear thread on here that is pretty thorough? I would’ve swore it’d be a pinned thread on here somewhere by now but a quick look didn’t show one.

the 3rd gen guys have the 4.88 mega thread but that’s too short of a ratio for my liking with the amount of highway miles I still catch on the truck.

I can’t have a 2wd as my only truck. I have looked as well prices are to damn high I’d like to get one of those hybrid fords in couple of years.
Same here keep the truck but those subies are sweet.

 

Yea mines a work truck and don’t see a need for a full size yet. Hopefully I can get a Subie to get better gas mileage for commuting and give truck a little rest

 

I don’t need a full size either but with a 700mi est. cruising range I’d only have to fill up once a week and those recliner seats for nap time.
How many miles are on your truck?

I just hit 100k and has a lot of life left. I go thru a tank a week and drive about 40-45 miles a day

 

Had Chris do the it was worth the drive/investment and quick to about 4-4.5 hours total.

pfft that’s nothing 149k fill up 3x a week commute is 45mi one way.
Should of left it stock.

Yeah I’ve avoided doing the real math but since adding the weight up front and jumping to 285/75/17s, my mpg is a train wreck. I actually think my lead foot makes it in the 10’s lol
