About that time! Who wants to ride mountain bikes in Knoxville? This will be easier than this year's Pisgah trip.

    Final Date:
    September 18-20

Link for more Knoxville riding info: https://www.pinkbike.com/u/knoxoutd...vorite-knoxville-has-trails-for-everyone.html

Knoxville has riding for all skills levels.

    Tentative Itinerary:
    • Friday PM: Pedal from Brown Bike Farm with destination Baker Creek. This is about a ten mile singletrack ride ending with epic jump lines and pump tracks galore. Always a fan favorite. And even better, I live two blocks away! So after we ride Baker Creek until sunset I can grab my truck and shuttle us to the breweries/campsite.
    • Saturday AM: Urban Wilderness exploring (@paleh0rse any recommendations as a recent first timer out here?). How did you like Year Round Get Down / Marie Myers?
    • Saturday PM: Pending @Bannerman Windrock DH/XC until sunset?
    • Sunday AM: Sharps Ridge morning sessions

    Campground on the Trails:

Looks epic! I voted as well, but I am in for any weekend besides Sept 11-13. Will be in KC for a wedding.

Hmmm, 4 hours away and haven’t even ridden bike at a park or local trails yet. That would be wild

Scotty prefers the first Sept weekend. But can swing 18-20 if he absolutely has to

I’ll follow along and watch, but I doubt I can make it. Sept is already pretty hammered for me. And work isn’t helping with mandatory 6 day work weeks every other weekend for the remainder of 2020.

I'm actually passing through there to ride the Urban Wilderness section on 14 or 15 September during my trip home across the country. Unfortunately, I can't get there any sooner or later based on my current travel schedule, so it sounds like I'll just miss you guys. (If I race and get there in the afternoon on the 13th, perhaps I can meet up for a beer after your Sunday rids).

    Thanks for the tag!

Either way give me a ring and I can show you around depending on the day. I've got a day job but usually am on the trails by 4:30 every day

I don't think I have much preference one way or another so no vote here. I'll see what turns out and try to make it happen. What's the camping situation like around there? Anywhere preferred for RTT truck camping? Edit: I see the link. Looks good!

When you say DH do you mean not rideable on hard tail or just shuttle/ riding down only? I'm great with fast, flowy and leaving the ground for short durations but not really up to big, purpose built jumps anymore. If there are rollers or bail outs, I'm good!

Windrock has two sides. DH is a traditional shuttle mountain bike park whereas the "XC" side is gnarly but you can pedal to it. There are bypasses for everything in Knoxville

Sept 18-20 is shaping up to be the most likely weekend. Two TW locals will also be joining us but they don't frequent the forums very often
