Up to you. Icons are a premium brand. Not my personal favorite. They do have a track record with the Tacoma community that isn't the best. Just keep an eye on them.

But yeah if you have an idea of what you'd like to do that's good.

Dollar for dollar you can't beat JBA uca's, great price, product and company. Just got an email from marlin, the owner ,reminding me to grease mine because I bought em 3 months ago, who does that? As far as the OP 's question of what's best, research is the best way to go, knowledge is power, don't be in a rush just to get it over with. Quality parts take careful selection and money, icons are good coil overs as far as the uca's I've never heard of that company, good luck with your quest.

I agree. Marlin is on point. Love my JBAs. Have had them on for 50k miles zero issues.

Ok. I started going through some other threads, and it seemed like the majority have dropped their Icons and went to King. So I just called this morning and changed my order to a set of King coilovers.
I paid $600 for the Cam UCA's. This is what he recommended.

For sure. I think I'm just getting excited to get something done on my truck. I'll slow it down a bit. Did a bit more research last night and decided on Kings. My last post will have the link to the UCA's that I ordered as well.

If you can cancel the order and go with the jba I would. The only Xtra money for the camburg is just for the stickers.

Yea, what they said. Also, I'm not sure how set you are on KO2's, but you may be much happier with something else. This forum is great for tire/wheel reviews also. I'm on my second and last set of KO2's. There's nothing wrong with them, there are just plenty of tires that outperform them all around, without breaking the bank. I spent 2 winters in NY state, and they are just OK on snow, and I wasn't even on trails. Not bad, better than a street tire, for sure...but the way some members talk about them on trails in the snow, there are plenty of tires around the same price point that will give you both the aesthetic and all around performance you may be much happier with. Just my two cent. Again, not BAD, I just know there are better out there.

I'll definitely cancel them then and pick up some JBA's. Especially since they're $200 cheaper. :)

Awesome. I haven't done a whole lot of research on tires quite yet. So for now, I was planning on picking up the KO2's because I thought they would be a safe purchase and a good baseline to see if I want to go more aggressive later down the line. I'll definitely look into other tires as I progress. What tires are you switching to?

I have a 2013 Tacoma Baja edition with icon 2.5 with cdcv resi coilovers and camburg tubular ball joint uca’s. Also have icon AAL in the rear with bilstein 5160’s and love the ride on it. It’s stiff on the road and slow speeds but I like stiff rather than squishy, bouncy and rocking like a boat feeling. My Icon handle great at higher speeds and cornering for sure. I don’t rock crawl so need for Kings for me. I went with a KO2 285/70/17 in method NV and no rub. I did ask the alignment shop to do more caster and they put me at +2.5 caster and the rest at 0 so that helped wit the no rub. I will get a cab mount chop though in case to have that peace of mind and maybe go up in tire size down the road

Sorry for the late response! Not sure why I didn't get notified. But awesome! I ended up getting 2.5 King with resi coilovers and camburg UCA's. I also went with 275/70/17r? Something like that lol. I just recently installed the lift, but didn't get a chance to put on my new wheels and tires since I had to leave the state and won't be back home for a bit. So I'll get that all done once I get home. I think I'd prefer a squishier ride so I went with Kings and I wanted leave it open for some rock crawling later.
