All of my pictures are kind of similar. If it seems like I just spend my days looking for beaches that would be cool to land at, it's because I do.

It's alright. Work has been slow with this covid stuff. Only flying 4 or 5 days a month, and not expecting that to change as we head into our shoulder season. I'm taking advantage of it while it lasts though. Haven't had a summer like this since I was in school. Don't expect to have another one like it before I retire. Been able to spend most of my time at the cottage since April.

Yes, that is an unfortunate problem of the current system. If you have any sort of relationship with the FSDO, use that to help solve the puzzle. At the time I earned mine I was working at a repair station and knew the PMI well, which helped me navigate the process.

Anyone else have seven to ten too many head injuries and suffer from motion sickness because of it? Haha I’ve been 100% fine most of the time, but when it hits it hits hard! looking forward to that wearing off!

9B1DF4CE-81C1-49CC-8392-8C7FF343EEAD.jpg I dig the Citabria so much more than the C172! I’m hoping to do most of my hours in this thing. Got to work on slipping and landing today, among other things. I know most of y’all have been flying forever but it’s cool to have a place on here to discuss. Thanks!

Are those armed? Talk about close air support. Add some 2.75 rocket pods and it could ruin someone’s day.

The MQ-9 serves in that role (different loadout) but I would love to see what the 8 could do.

Rockets need a real pilot to shoot accurately, unless you're using APKWS which simplifies it a bit.

If it's anything like the 9, then a real pilot is at the controls via satellite link.

    "Real pilot"...

I'm talking about an actual pilot flying the aircraft in person, not someone halfway around the world in a box. Rocket accuracy is 75% pilot flying skill and delivery technique.

I mean, a dude in a box is still a "real pilot". The difference is, as you said, in cockpit (person) or not. Can't speak to rotary wing flying, but I imagine it's similar to fixed in this context in that LOS would be better than satellite which is where the pilot's skill will shine (or not).
