Hey there, I’m new to Tacomas and this forum but have been very active on Wrangler and Ford Ranger forums and vehicle modding prior to now.

My first new vehicle was a 2011 Scion xD, which I still have and which has yet to give me a single problem, even with 180,000 miles. So I’m sold on Toyota reliability. Shopped around for F-150s before deciding I’d rather just pay up and get exactly the truck I wanted, which a local dealer just happened to have.

The new truck is a 2020 voodoo blue trd 4x4 sport with the tech package, and i absolutely LOVE it! Heated leather seats, JBL sound system, sunroof, all the bells and whistles.

Left the dealer and went straight to the sport truck store and bought a truxedo lopro tonneau cover. I already ordered black overlays for the Tacoma emblems on the doors and raised black letters for the tailgate. Next mods will be running boards/nerf bars/ rock sliders and probably weather tech floor mats and mud flaps. This truck will be 99% on road but I live way out in the country and in the winter the roads can get a bit gnarly getting to work.

Anyway, I’m super excited to be a new member of this community and can’t wait to learn more from you all!

Also in this picture I just applied Topcoat F11, which is my personal favorite paint sealant!

Awesome looking truck, really dig that Voodoo Blue, but went for the Cement myself. Welcome to the Family! Did you go with an Automatic or Manual Transmission?

It’s automatic since I bought it off dealer inventory. I love stick shifts and in 2016 I ordered a brand new Wrangler with the 6-spd. I’ll miss the manual trans somewhat in this, but at the same time I don’t miss it at all, if that makes sense.

I do love that cement color too!

Did you notice any decrease in fuel mileage or increase in road noise when you removed your front air dam? I’ve been contemplating taking mine off....

Didn't notice any difference in Fuel Mileage or noise. I would highly recommend taking it off, I think it looks a lot better.
