Stumbled on this tread and now just order the radiator support bushings. I’m just over 200k miles and cab mounts are one of the few wear and tear parts I haven’t replaced. Curious to see the shape of the old ones.

Can any of you long term users of these replacements comment on whether they have reduced or eliminated the odd clanks, squeaks, pops, etc? I am getting a lot of these recently and I asked mt mechanic to see if he could track it down. He couldn't. I stumbled on to this thread and some of the descriptions of noise match mine to a T. Backing out the driveway, hitting a pothole, running over a rock or stick, or even just coming to a stop, I get the small ping or metallic click squeak, or sometimes a more violent sound. It's very unnerving. So I told him it could be the rad support bushings and he swears up and down that there is no way they could produce the noises I have experienced. He even heard one as I back out of his shop. Says that Toyota oem equipment is rock solid and its my fancy aftermarket suspension setup that is producing the noise(somewhere). Running 6112's with 650 lb. Bilstein springs and JBA uppers. Thanks!
EDIT: I am at 124,xxx miles on a 2013 DCOR.

I have had mine for ages now. No odd squeaks from body panels flexing over them. However, my suspension is stiff, and there are plenty of other noises to be heard. Lol

Can someone please confirm the torque for these bushings. I’ve read through tons of pages and can’t seem to find it.

The cab mounts look to be 34 lb-ft. I have 20 lb-ft on the radiator supports and the small poly bushing seems pretty stressed. Thanks!

Yeah I had noise issues with the generic 9.4101 kit.

No noises so far with the 8.4109 kit though. Which reminds me I need to go check them now that theyve been on there for a month or two now

Ordered the Energy 9.4101G radiator mounts hoping to resolve a clunking sound out of the front end.

Popped them in this evening. Like a lot of people, the driver-side bolt was a pain to
get back in. Went big side up.

On a test drive, the front end felt really solid but I’m still getting a bit of a clunk from the passenger side. It’s definitely better, so I think I’m slowly chipping away at it.

Everything looks good. Going to go through and make sure everything is tightened to spec and not too tight, as others have found.

Thanks for this thread! Replaced radiator support bushings on my ‘18 with only 12k miles oem bushings were shot, used the bushings from 8.4109 kit. No more noise, feels more solid up front.

Either take it to a different more open minded mechanic or tell your current one to expand his mind a little because it's that closed mind mentality that will keep him from gaining more business.

Long term comments... My other suspension like control arms and uniballs, noisy, but there are no pops due to the bushings.

These bushings have a long track record of causing pops and weird noises over potholes and such. Replace them if you have the factory ones.

Quit torquing bushings to spec and just get them tight for christ sake, this doesn't just go to you, it goes for everyone on here talking about it.

Believe it or not torque spec is sometimes actually more counter productive than the other way around and it sounds like that is the exact issue in your post.
