I put it between the gap between the handbrake level and the cup holders in front of the arm rest.

I have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Cellet-Autom...a-813295814816&psc=1&ref=&adgrpid=75766078309

I also have a 2nd gen with the useless (to me) third cup holder so it seems like the best place for it.

Hondo Garage phone holder is so solid. Expensive but great if you offroad. Honestly, even if I didn’t I would want it. I can just tell the quality of the design by how the phone fits into it every time I get in the car.

Wife got me the DMM for Christmas last year. I absolutely love it. For my phone, I use a short ram arm, and a custom magnet I made using a female threaded ram ball and this (https://www.mcmaster.com/5679K49) magnet, and a low profile socket head screw. So far I haven't been able to toss it off the mount even when bouncing over whoops and shitty terrain. Really happy with the setup. On the other side I have a short arm and ram squeezey mount thing for any passenger phone.

While it is a bigger financial investment than most generic phone holders, it's actually very fairly priced for what you get, and worth putting a few bucks away for it.

I'll try to post a pic if I get a chance.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Rola rack. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
I second the charging pad. The stock GPS is good enough for me, and with the connectivity to entune I find I don’t really need to see my phone often.

Like some others posted, the phone fits nicely between the hand brake and the gear shift. I’ve been contemplating some type of holder though.

I would love the charge pad, if it was useful for me. Note8 qi current requirement is too high. So, now that's where the other misc shit goes. Also, stuff does tend to jostle out of there when wheeling.

Hondo garage vent mount with ram ball pieces to ram x grip. Waiting on the large mount x grip to show up now since new phone and case don't fit.

I usually stand up my phone in the little coin holder next to the cup holder in the center console. The only thing that is a little annoying this that the shift knob knocks over my phone when I put it into drive. Other times I put my phone in the open cubby in the front portion of the center console under the dash.

I have this to stick the phone in but also to keep shit from dropping between console and seat as shit seems to find the perfect spot to fall and hide.
Pretty snug fit. They're all over Ebay and Amazon.

Charge pad. You don't need it while you are driving anyway.

Hondo Garage vent mount and phone holder. It's way more solid than the cheap plastic ones that mount to the window/vents. Its not cheap, but worth it if you drive a lot and want the phone easily viewable/accessible.
