Hi everyone, my 2008 Tacoma’s driver side blinker recently started hyper flashing and I’ve checked to see if my bulbs are burnt out, and they’re not. My emergency flashers all blink at the same time it’s just the turning signal that goes crazy, any ideas?

So you have checked the front and rear turn signal bulbs and made sure they are actually coming on, but they are just blinking fast drivers side?

is there any burning on the bulbs?

I don't think the Tacomas are wired the same but in a VW I had, a faulty emergency flasher button was causing a hyper flash issue.

If both lights work are they still as bright as the other side, maybe the flasher just gave up.

I just bought a 2013 with the exact same problem, however on occasion it will flash at the normal rate for a few days or more. One thing I noticed is that the headlight assembly heavily fogs up. When it dries out the turn signal eventually returns to normal speed. So, 2 items of interest for me. Any advice on the fogging?

I’d try a replacement bulb or swapping the one from the other side.
I believe you get HyperFlashing when the bulb burns out.
I’m not sure the exact way it work, but I believe it has to do with resistance, but the point is

The bulb is easy to test.

TnShooter. Resistance, yes, good call... Now that the assembly is dry, and not heavily fogged, it is normal rate. The moisture may lessen resistance I think. Gonna have to wash her again, wait for the assembly to fog and do the test. Also, try and seal up the assembly. Thank goodness the weekend is only 4 days away.

    Thanks again!

BTW, it is an LED Turn/Daylight Running dual purpose bulb and looks to be in good condition. Here's hoping!
