Steal of a deal on oil.

I would buy 5 jugs of oil cheap but I only change my oil once a year. Hell I might die before I got through 5 oil changes.

 

Might give it a go once I go through the 28qts of 0w-20 i now have

 

ever since the lockdowns, every towns’ Elks Club or Moose Lodge has had their meetings online, to discuss the usual: the prices of things these days, the terrible music these days, how young policemen have gotten, how you can’t buy a decent breakfast anywhere before 5am, etc

 

Although the Tacoma manual states 0w-20 or 5w-20 is to be used, on the next page, it does offer this as an opening to use 5w-30 or 0w-30 which are used in many other countries....and by some people in the U.S.

 

Yes, I was thinking the same too. In Hot weather like in CA and TX, I don't think 0W20 can protect the engine. Especially seeing so many engine failures by Toyota lately, I think 5w30 is a better choice.

 

I use amzoil...best oil out there. lasts longer and protects better than anything you can buy in the local stores. not opinion, based on hard data. But I over do it on oil and honestly, needlessly but makes me happy

I haven’t seen data on shell oil though, but really unless you’re going over the recommended change interval or racing or boosted you shouldn’t see any difference honestly.
