Short story long. I'm in the industrial maintenance field and I went on vacation a couple weeks back. I like to make sure all the equipment i take care of is running the best it can before i leave, that left me with nothing to do when I got back.so I whipped this little project up in between line calls.
I took out my tonneau cover recently to better fit all my family's camp gear, and picked up the basic harbor freight bed cargo net. But there is not much for tie downs in the front of the bed. A quick Google search looking for options i saw similar products. Then the work boredom kicked..

Here is the sketch, cardboard cad, advanced cardboard and rough product.

drilled some holes in it to give it the offroad look.

All painted and mounted. I used spring nuts to mount it which il'l probably change out later.

I have some other work builds planned but when I got back from vacation all the scrap metal was cleared out. I had a few 10ft length pieces of 1.5" 1/8th wall tube i had set aside to make a bed rack to haul a canoe.
