Since I have some other obligations I will have to put it on hold for a bit ,I'm hoping to have them purchased and installed by early next year. I'm also keeping an eye on any discounts...but most definitely I will equip our Tacoma with Timbren. Timbren for me is the best choice, not only because I'm in western Canada where winters can be harsh but also to never have to worry about a blown air bag or a line...my choice and hope many Tacoma World members is clear. In fact on my very first posts I mentioned my plan to equip our family Tacoma with your products. And yes, once i do you will be tagged, thanks again Timbren!

My boat and trailer are about 2300lbs as well. My taco tows just fine. I don’t feel like I need upgrade anything. That said, I did notice improved damping/control after I upgraded to a OME standard leaf pack and king 2.5 rr shocks. I didn’t upgrade to improve towing though.

whats ' complicated ' about air bags ??????

the bags only need to be inflated to level rear bumper to orig height

some light loads ..................some Heavy ..........inflate accordingly

relieving stresss to universal joints , shoks & springs

WD distribution hitch may actually overkill for a light trailer

if that be the trailer of choice most o the time

    get what is required

Going back to original question i am confused. Most steel bumpers are 100 plus pounds, i have one. Why i bring that up is 200 lb toung weight is basicly nothing. 450 ok thats some sag. If anything with trailer truck should ride a little smoother

I love my truck (double sr5) with 300 or so pounds in the back. Rides like a limo.

The rear frame and sespension will never tow as well as a full size. Just not as strong.

Granted. Guess everyones individual but grades bumps different lol.
    No i cant spell..

As an edited fact. Renting a 3500 lb trailer in 3 weeks. Ill see how wrong i am as i only towed with my old jeep.

I was towing a Rockwood A- Frame camper about 2500lbs total weight. I had the Firestone air bags which did a good job of preventing rear sag, but that was the only positive.
They rode like crap when empty with only 7psi and they did nothing to improve suspension performance either loaded or empty. The bags also developed a slow leak, not the lines.20200801_105841.jpg 20200801_105836.jpg
I just installed a Roadmaster Active Suspension system and it works great! The truck handles great either loaded or empty with a very compliant ride, its slightly firmer, but in a good way.
Absolutely no comparison between air bags and the Roadmaster setup.

My current teardrop only weighs about 1500lbs, but my truck is packed with a canoe, generator, wood, coolers, full tank of gas and other gear. The Roadmaster system is adjustable and Im on the lightest setting.
    Definitely a great system!
