Rolling Floor Jack Extension

I have a Pittsburgh 3 ton rolling floor jack. Since my lift, I'm not able to get my truck off the ground without adding wood support. I was thinking about having a metal block welded to the lift tray. Since it is a Harbor Freight product I'm limited to accessories.

The only extension from harbor freight and after multiple to locate at store price...no joy. Is welding a block a better alternative or just stick with the wood I've been using?

 

I would go with the extension, $40 will provide you with safety and it’s easily removable.

 

2x6 and life insurance

 

Hickory or white oak blocks are fine. Yellow pine or softwood are dangerous.

I did drill out a piece of 4X4 to go around it for extra stability.

You will need to check the stem diameter to see if it will work with your jack.

 

I like using wood blocks. It’s quick and easy.
