What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Yep, it just pulls off. I would pop the bottom right blank out as its the easiest to remove, then from there you can get your fingers behind the panel and give it a pull.

 

Had some scrap vinyl so I added a piece to the front of the skewp. +5HP

 

I just did mine today for the first time. I got my noggin under the dash and pushed from the back just to have maximum control. Nobody is lying to you about it just popping out but if it makes you feel more confident than pulling from the front, perhaps this is an option.

Sunday -- did the DRL grille light harness (cleaner, nicer, but functionally equivalent to INJ add-a-fuse so not sure it was the best $50 I've ever spent).

Today -- Removed what I assume was a dealer installed alarm which was falsing, so lame, at least it's gone. Now I have two screw holes and plenty of leftover T-taps to be sad about, at least no starter kill so I didn't have to reconnect any wires.

Also, got my victory 4x4 molle panel so I mounted it finger-tight, haven't yet attached my rotopax to it yet. Trying to decide if I ought to mount it in front or behind the power outlet passenger side cubby. Either the molle panel or the faceplate have to sit angled. Maybe I'll add some spacers and use longer bolts up top.

Also, cupholder trim ring bleach bath effectively complete.

Right on. Ill give it a little push pull when its time. Thinking i want my camera switch there. That is when i get up the nerve to install it. I hate wiring

 

So I added a voltmeter/temp indicator to my dash. Upon first power up I noticed that it is way to bright. That’s when my blonde moment happened... I thought well I’ll just google tapping into the dash dimming circuit. After about 5 minutes of searching, it occurred to me that if you power a voltmeter with a potentiometer in line, you render said voltmeter completely useless. Doh! Guess I’m going to need to find some window tinting to put on this thing.

Thanks bro! As soon as they made them in a 16” I had to have them. They are black Rhino armory 16x8 gunmetal black.
They are a love them or hate them kinda wheel I think

 

I know, I got mine installed a few weeks ago, no 35" tires though. that's a ways off. I was happy when I found out they come in 16". They look even better with 35's.

 

Sweet!!! They look killer on the cement too. Yeah 35s are a game changer that’s for sure. A lot of prep went into it and more to come

Today I took the plunge and cut my inner fenders for 37s . Then I made cardboard templates. I’m going to try to keep the window wash tank and fab around it. Won’t know if it worked till tomorrow. Got a forklift at work see if she handles full stuff in the wheel wells

In the process of installing a Cali Raised Accessory 8 Switch and a small toggle switch. It’s slowly coming together. Just waiting on a 3 foot long traction control harness to show up so I can relocate the button to the middle of the dash, but for now I just tucked it behind the dash. I Spent yesterday evening wiring, drilling holes and gluing everything. Bought the waterproof box off Amazon for $20. It feels good knowing everything will be kept dry. Can’t wait to finish the install today. Will post more pics when finished

 

Nice, did the wiring not allow separate power for the LEDs so you could use the dash circuit for that?

where did you get the relocation harness? I'm in the need to relocate the rear diff e-locker on my OR (button sits beside the tract control button on the over head console) since i did some work on the overhead panel.

also your setup is looking fantastic so far i never considered the waterproof box when i built mine, but i do recommend it since i learned how much dust gets up in that location
