    Funny how that works out..

I swear this is like my cats, the little brats are always fighting or just yelling at me when I have to do something like this.

@Sloth Did you look into Speal Programming or Garage Gym Athlete at all while you were searching? Thinking about switching it up and those two seem interesting. Speal is seems similar to Linchpin but with added strength work. Garage Gym Athlete seems like a lot of movements, could be too much to do everyday (for me at least).

We've been doing Speal Masters programming the past few weeks. I like it. There's strength cycles incorporated along with extra stretching/mobility for us geezers.

Ya BTWB or Sugarwod. I use BTWB, but Sugarwod is good too. Our box (that were currently taking a break from due to 'Rona)uses Sugarwod to put out/ track all their workouts.

Hi all. I’m visiting Newport, RI for a few weeks & wondering if there are any community meet-ups or events happen between now & mid Sept. I know it’s tough getting together with the COVID mitigation but hopeful something is happening that we can do safely. I’ve already completed by 15 days of ROM & I’m stir-crazy!

    Cheers!

I don't mind a short pad life - having had performance cars most of my life I'm used to doing brakes every 20k. I'd rather have something grab good and not fade when I need it to than to get 10k more out of the pads.

I was thinking about trying to do a TW GNL, I know there was a jeep one a few months back

Don't think there's much going on, there's not a lot to wheel in RI. There's the powerlines out in the western part of the state, but this time of year most people take the long trips up to the Catskills or Green mountains, or BFE Maine to camp for a couple days.

Thanks appreciated. Also, a bit confused on FID vs LTC. Seems like LTC is the way to go. Any thoughts on one vs the other. Thanks.

If you can’t legally get an LTC you get an FID

    examples- age (21 for ltc)
    Arrest record (dui)

Thank you. Over 21 and no arrests with clean record. I also have the 3 character reference letters required for first time applicants. If an LTC applicant gets denied will I be issued an FID. All I can find online about the difference is the purchasing and possession of different capacity sizes. Appreciate all of the help with this. Super new, but am willing to learn.

An FID will give you the right to own a shotgun or small Caliber rifle (.22) for hunting purposes. A Class A or LTC (License To Carry) gives you the right to own anytype to handgun or large caliber rifle plus shotgun as well. A handgun can not be purchased with a FID card.

Thank you appreciate the explanation. That's why the TW community is better than Google

It is quite easy to get with the info you already shared, depending on what city or town you live in. You just need to sign up for an LTC course, most gun shops run them but you can find people that will do it in your area through google. After the course, you will get a certificate and then you go to your local police department and get fingerprinted, picture taken, and have an interview with either the chief or another person authorized to do it. A back ground check is performed, then the police will send it along for approval to boston. Mine took about 3 months to come back but with the advent of COVID and the increase of people wanting to get their license it most likely will take longer. Then when you get the LTC, it will be good for 5 years. Just remember the magic term to say when they ask you the reason for getting a firearm....."For all Lawful Purposes."
