Yeah I hate lugging around spare parts too, but when you need it in the middle of no where, it will be worth it’s weight in gold.

 

Spotted this beauty out at dinner last night in Roseville...

You guys crack me up some times. You don't need to carry a spare alt. I rebuild kit fits in the glove box.

Rebuilt my alternator a few years ago with this kit, plenty of use and still good to go.
Don't think it'll work with the 105 amp alternator though.
Could always get a rebuild kit for the 105 amp alternator, but that makes too much sense.

You'd need the rebuild kit for whatever alt you have. My point was it's easier to carry a rebuild kit then the whole alt. I carry an alt and starter rebuild kit on the trail.

but in all honestly I’m new to carrying spare parts. I have had my truck for about 5 years now and have used the crap out of it and only brought a bag full of random bolts. So just trying to figure out what I need.

I was also planning carrying a starter. I guess that’s not a good idea either? I rebuilt my own starter about 2 years ago. What’s the chances a rebuild doesn’t actually work to fix a starter or alternator?

 

I have no idea what the chances of a rebuild kit not working are. As long as you have the correct rebuild kit I'd guess less then 3%.

i absolutely hate my front yard being all larger river rock. It holds all the damn leaves regardless of me blowing them out.

 

Yeah. But you gotta get your groove on with the blower. Once you do, it's pretty easy...I will sometimes help the neighbors out as the trees shed their leaves.

 

i throw it on high and waggle. Only thing that works and it looks a lot better but its never 100% clean. Thats what irritates me.
