So I have an 2020 SR 4WD and want to move to a different wheel. The Black Rhino Armory 17x9.5 with a -18 offset. I want to keep the stock tire diameter by moving to a 285/60/R17. But how do I know if it will rub, or what the limitations on width or changes to the offset affect things.

Thank you in advance, I know it simple.

I think you may have some rubbing with a -18 offset being 9.5 inches wide. I would check to see if its available with a 0 offset.

When it comes figuring out whether tire will rub or not, every mm counts in my opinion.

I was torn between getting .75” or 1” wheel spacers one night, bc I wanted more wheel poke, but didn’t wanna start rubbing.

You’d either have to do mad mathematician calculations to see what’ll work
    OR
Just go with one and cross your fingers

    Hope this helps!

I found this site to be handy when searching for how different wheels and tires would fit my truck.

What size and offset are your stock wheels? I don't know how much is different between the 2020 and a 2011, which I have (SR5 4x4) I know this: My 2011 stock wheels are 16x7.5 with a +30 offset. I've been running 265/75-16 Hankooks with no rubbing except just a touch at full lock if I hit a bump. I just bought a set of Fuel Anza wheels, 17x8.5 with +7 offset, and a set of Nitto 265/70-17 tires. That wheel/tire combo gives me the same rolling diameter as the 265/75-16's, but pushes the tire out about an inch. I have not put them on the truck yet (planned for Friday), but expect them to maybe rub a tad at full lock 9in front when I hit bumps, and at the back of the front tire at half lock, they may barely touch the mud flap. The flaps are going bye-bye, and I may trim the fender well at the bottom a tad (the wells are different on the 2011 up front from the 2020).

So.... basically, you can get by with something around a zero to +10 offset in 16's, with 265-75 tires, or zero to +10 offset with 265/70-17's. Might have a slight rub, but if you go wider wheels or offset less than 0 (neg numbers), you will most likely rub and have to lift or trim.
