After 8 years of owning my Tacoma, I’m finally in a financial place to start modding it.

I already bought new headlights, new grille, new wheels (Baja “beadlocks”), 5100s all around.

Now I’m just deciding on the tire.Due to my work commute, my truck is now strictly my weekend/errands/California “bad weather” vehicle. Due to the previously mentioned, I’m in the small camp of I want a MT tire for looks (I know, I know, bash me all you want.)

Should I skip the MT and go for a tire like the Wildpeak A/T3W?

    Below are my options:

BFG KM3's are supposed to be pretty quiet for a mud tire from what I hear. Personally I like the look of BFGs

Consideration for the Cooper ST Maxx? I think its way more visually appealing than the MTP

Unless they've changed the rubber compound you couldn't give me another set of BFG's. They wear out to fast.

It really depends on what you plan on doing with them from more street or more off road. If you look at the tires your considering on discount tire site it will break it down from how quite they are for road and couple of things as well. For me I dont want a really loud tire for the street it's just annoying. On my 2nd gen when I had it I used the BFG all terrain and they were pretty quite and they looked good when I need tires on my new truck I will probably try the faulking wildpeaks

There’s just something about the KM3s that I don’t like.

Yeah, I thought about putting them on the short list.

I’ve seen (and heard) some MTs going down the road, but some of these have moderate noise reviews

Well I saw a set of Milestars on a random truck yesterday and it sold me on them.

Doug our Discount Tire rep was super awesome to deal with. Even helped out with price matching. If you’re thinking about getting tires CONTACT DOUG, I repeat CONTACT DOUG.

I’ll post pictures on the appropriate thread once the tires come in and are installed.
