You can't. The only way is watching for the Flash Successful message in the Flash Tool window after you flash.

I'm sorry for my not understanding or being 100% clear here, but I read through this entire thread and I'm still a bit confused. So used to, you could spend something like $770for the ovtune tune kit with cable. Now you have to buy two things? I understand that 390+379.99= 769.99. So to my previous knowledge, when it was the ovtune tune kit with cable, you could just download the software, plug it into your truck, download the tune, whichever octane level was available that you chose, and be good to go. In a nut shell.. So whats different now? Is it simple, or is it as complicated as it seems? To me anyway. Completely lost here. lol Sorry for the confusion .

The vF License and OVT Tactrix plus the vF Tune Pack are equivalent to the OVT Flash Kit. It is just a change in the scheme of things because there were so many issues with folks being the least bit patient. OVT is showing us the challenges faced in tune development.

Basically, the 2.0 tunes are truly Final. If folks want to adjust tip in, shift points, or other fine, personal details, they are now able to, at will. Or, take their Taco with the vF software to a local tuner / dyno and let them deal with the headache.

As was said, the 1.05B tunes were really good. 2.0 is flat out amazing.

Tonered, thank you for your reply. That puts things a lot more into perspective. So, when you purchase the OVT Tune pack and the OVT software pack with cable, it gives you the ability to tweak it if you'd like, or use the tunes that ovt programmed? I probably wouldn't want to do that given my lack of "how to tune" knowledge . lol

Yes. You get full tunes that you can either just run or choose to tweak on your own. My plan is to see what others come up with and decide if I want to make those changes.

Most all of us are not typical tuners. The 3rd Gen tune forced us to do something. We now have much better situation and a lot of control over what we want to do.

What kind of shipping do VF Tune ship via for the cable? I am hoping for UPS! Don't want the wife to know!
