Alright. Wife got us a huge fridge on a deal she couldn’t pass up. We have a drawer system for our shortbed but it strangely doesn’t fit the new truck we bought so we were considering making a new system anyways. Once we looked at ideas on how to best maximize space and started pricing things like slide outs we decided to build it into the drawer system. Due to its size, we are going to try keeping it stationary and accessing it through a windoor. We have a big swing out rear bumper so accessing it quickly that way would get old quick. This is the first days work so far. I’m not a wood worker at all. Just gluing and screwing this stuff together. If you have any clever ideas throw them my way. Currently it will be one short drawer with a false top that can be removed and possibly flipped over for other uses and then the long drawer which will have a fixed top. Will also have removable side panels that cover the voids all the way to the bed side rails. Main thing I am currently thinking through is the handles for the drawers and a clever way to tie down the fridge so it doesn’t bounce around. Throw your thoughts my way. Thanks!

Getting closer to finished. A few details, carpet and handles and some wiring and it’s ready!
