So I picked up door panels and all the internals for an extended cab to install power windows and locks in my 2012 standard cab and am running into a couple of road blocks. The window regulators mount on east enough and the locking mechanism is easy on the drivers door. But I can’t find where to plug the wiring harnesses into under the dash. The other problem is on the passenger door it seems the locking mechanism is slightly different and won’t accommodate the key mechanism that is on there to begin with. Pictures are of the wiring on passenger door (haven’t gotten there on the driver yet as I want to figure it out on one side first.) and the difference in the locking mechanism (white is original, black is the replacement) so I assume the models that had power locks didn’t have a key on the passenger side

From what I’ve seen, Toyota eliminated the key lock on the passenger side of Tacos sometime around 2010. If yours is a ‘12 and it has a right side key lock, that must be a standard cab thing. It would appear you need a passenger side door latch from a 2005 to about 2008 AC or DC.

Thanks, I kinda figured that was the case, I’ll just try to source a piece that doesn’t have the key to simplify it a little

I always liked manual windows and door locks.
