The latest kid was definitely suicidal, but was also found 25 miles from base. That's a long hike.

100% agree that the brass needs to go. Hope you are right that they will.

My money was suicide by train based on where he was found and how. It's a popular enough method that the county has put up more fencing in certain areas to keep people away from the train tracks.

I do agree that they're being whiney, and to claim PTSD is just ridiculous, but with my wife being a teacher I'd be kinda pissed if they were chasing her around and shooting her with airsoft pellets without her consent. Plus, how does forcing someone to be willingly "executed" provide any training on how to combat an intruder? If I threw an officer against the wall and "disarmed" him, would that be considered part of the training too? Or would their feelings get hurt and arrest me for assault? It's just a weird scenario.

Who developed the program? The Sheriff’s office or some education program?

If the Sheriff’s office did then they are in the wrong from what I’ve learned but if educators created it then it’s their own fault. I can’t imagine any civil employer making this compulsory and I’d imagine that any time during the process the participants could opt out.

I’d like to learn more about this one because like you, it sets off alarms for me as well.

I can agree with your point when put like that. And I would definitely try and turn the tables on them and do just that. Real funny mother fucker, who's laughing now. We didn't exactly have that option in the military, you just had to take the abuse. :notsure:

Sounds like it was based in Sun Tz and the concubine lessons. You would think that someone would of signed off on the training plan.
What i find really weird about this is that it is almost setup like the Kenyan Mall take over. I do not recall this kind of scenario being that real for a western country.
Then again you can have passive training which would be more suited for this audience and then you can have active training and use flashbangs and real life scenarios and treatment of victims.

I think I am way over thinking this and maybe people involved in setting this up are just idiots.
My thoughts on the training set up...
Principal to lead trainer: “Yeah, make as real as you can”
    Lead trainer: Are you sure?
Principal: Absolutely the more real the better we will react if the real thing happens....
Lead Trainer: Well, hell yeah we will make it real...

And the result is the story....

    phrase I learned long ago...

“never attribute to malice that which can be explained by mere stupidity...“

Basically, if it seems someone‘s trying to do you wrong, they’re more likely just a dumbazz.

I would have expected an officer or two get pummeled by pissed off teachers, either right there and then or when they are off duty, perhaps even eating a plastic pellet or two from their own airsoft gun. Assholes.
