OP I did not read all posts but I recommend that you save up and buy a house before you go into additional debt and purchase a depreciating asset. It’s called delayed gratification.

    This.

I have zero debt, home paid for, cars paid for, truck paid for, toys paid for. My parents gave me good advice many years ago - don't borrow money for things you don't need. That advice has served me well over the years.

Setting the way back machine and remembering how bad I wanted as brand new moto-x bike when I got my first real job, but instead rode the old used enduro I had for a year until I had the money saved to buy a new one. When it came time to peeling off hundred dollar bills from my stash to hand to the dealer, it caused me pause and think. Because it was my real money, not signing my name on some document. I ended up buying a 2 month old bike from someone who need to shed debt for about 30% off retail.

Trading a (almost) brand new car for a brand new truck is going to burn a chunk of cash. Don't do it. Drive it and stack cash so in 2 years you can trade it plus some cash, and finance a smaller amount. Your Mom led you in the right direction, but no matter how responsible that decision was it left you unhappy, youth needs something less mundane. Just temper it. Wanting shit will put you in debt in a hurry.

Credit Score advice. Charge everything (normal purchases) you can, don't use a debit card and pay the entire balance at month's end. This will help build credit history and offers an additional layer of protection, most credit cards offer one year warranty on purchases.

You only live once so just trade it in ASAP. Unless your name is Karen, no one ever got a super like on Facebook because they drove a Camry

Maybe she doesn't want you to have a truck? Knowing your goal, if the Honda wasn't worth saving, a better condition but still older used vehicle would have been the better stop gap to bridge your continued saving program. Which you are to be admired for. Saving that is.

Of course. You can trade anything at anytime. Dealers love frequent traders.

Yes, that's why dealers love frequent traders. You would likely be better off to privately sell and then go buy the truck. Trades are almost always losing propositions, regardless of what folks will tell you about how much they were 'given' for their trade.

You need to properly set the mirrors, learn to use the camera (and it's limitations) and learn to turn your head. I'd bet 90% of the folks around here don't know how to properly set their outside mirrors, particularly the PS one.

Every vehicle has blind spots somewhere. Well, maybe not a Miata with the top down.

My dealer had 40 in stock when I bought mine in late Feb, even going into May inventory was stable and moving, people are buying, but right now people can't buy because there is no inventory, demand is there, inventory is not, which is the reason people are not getting deals on them like before.

I haven't noticed many 2020s around which means nothing, or volume is so low that's why I'm not seeing many 2020s. I did notice one I was looking at on line was no longer listed. I seen a few dealers with more than one AG Pro. If I could get one of those for $43,000 I think I'd buy one.

It seems you are young Patrick - actions such as these - if they become purchasing habits - will lead to your financial doom... You bought a car you did not want. The moment you signed - you lost $$$. You will not get your tax back... and depending on demand for your car, you will lose on depreciation...

In short - the damage is done.

What do you do??? I assume that you are not independently wealthy. Assuming the you care about $$, the best path might be to live with the mistake....

But not to surrender before trying; I suggest the following: The current environment may work in your favour... (IF Camrys are also in demand now...), I would try to sell it private party. A dealer will bake profit into his trade in offer... try to hold on to that. Yes it is more work - but you are trying to work yourself out of a bad decision... try to mitigate the impact.

How much are these cars selling for today? (FIGURE that out). Your FULL OTD price for the car, minus the amount you are likely to receive from a buyer; this equals the COST of switching vehicles. (This make the price of getting the truck more expensive)

IF spending that additional amount on your truck (in an already expensive market) is something you can stomach / makes enough sense to you - or not, then you have your answer.
