Lmk if any of y’all wanna see my garage progress. It’s super simple and humble but I’m making it a really great workspace in our new house

 

I could use the inspiration to do mine.

 

22x22 2 car garage with 8ft garage door. That’s all I’m working with here. Came standard with 2 recessed cans lights which are integrated LED.

Rust-Oleum professional grade epoxy floor (I did dark gray and bought $50 worth of extra chips and then did a nice thick clear coat on top). Also painted the stem walls around the perimeter.

Swapped out integrated LED overheads to cheap $30 Amazon fanned LED lights 6000lumens each.

Rear Bumper is going for sale soon. New bumper will be SO TUCKED - so this is my license plate solution. Many have done this already. I love the look & function.

You could swap in an old work junction box where that light switch is and add a power outlet. That would free up the side wall outlet for other stuff. Would only cost you like $20 and an hour of your time. I just had a few extra plugs added to my criminally under-outletted garage and it's so much better now!

 

I actually just moved the fan to a MUCH better location & my last garage literally had ONE outlet at the 12:00 head position of the garage so I’m digging not having to pay for extra electrical. I have 3 GFCI outlets at 1200, 3:00 & 9:00 but I really appreciate your advice on that

 

Garage looks damn good man! I'd love epoxy, but the effort to scour a painted concrete floor is too much for my blood.

 

You only have to scour it as bare concrete to prep the surface. Then after that all you do is rinse it off as needed & squeegee

Only cost me about $450 in supplies to do my garage floor. Super easy, just takes time

 

be sure to buy a resin or epoxy based product (not water based). Be sure to acid etch the floor & let it dry for a few days & be sure to put a resin urethane clear coat on within 4 days of the epoxy

 

Def a project thats a ton easier if you're just moving in. Just like cleaning carpets. Thankfully I have been on a rampage against clutter recently. I'll have to do some digging.

 

Bora .75” spacers for shock relocation next week. Did some light sanding / wire brush on the drum and backside of wheel surface - Torqued to spec Drove 10 miles. Re checked torque spec & witness marked. Gtg.
