Pils SMaSH with your hops of choice. I bet Huell Melon would be nice. The Pils-Equinox SMaSH I brewed earlier this year was one my all-time favorites and I didn't really think I cared for light lagers.

Speaking of light lagers, this one I'm enjoying at the moment is particularly nice...

Why not a big ol stout? Unless you’re wanting something to drink in the next 6 months lol.

I am actually going to give this recipe a try whenever I get the chance to brew again.

It's a good one. The BFL is good too, but on the sweeter side. Pretty much an overclocked Doppelbock.

Pilsner malt? What kind of yeast? Lagering temps? My ferm fridge is full of other beers and a sour project so i dont feel like swinging the temps too low, but maybe I will... I've got some harvested helles yeast slurry from last year that may work still, need to get a starter going for it to see...

@relkins0413 I've got plenty of stouts coming through from Bruery and @uhplifted so i wanted something a little lighter for a general drinkin beer. When it gets later into summer i'll probably brew my favorite robust porter recipe and do an adjunct with it. I almost thought about an amber with a belgian yeast or something...

Yep, Weyermann Pilsner malt. Any lager yeast will do, even the dry stuff would be fine. Wyeast 2124 at ale temps works well based on my own experience, but the closer you can get to 52-ish would be all that much better.

Yeah 52 is fine, i just was hoping to avoid dropping things to near freezing. Need to get the airlock rigged to not suck water in. I think last time i let it warm up to ferment I off gassed a ton of CO2 from that sour since it had been sitting for so long at colder temps.

Not too bad I guess. I got the Honeypot membership and it’s been the biggest fucking waste of money. I’ve gotten 1 member bottle since January. Then they decided to take a super small batch and instead of just giving it to members or allowing a member only sale, they did a public sale for it. I’m super fucking pissed with them and how they’ve handled the membership. I get that Covid put a wrench in a lot of things but they haven’t opened at all like any of the other breweries have. They don’t even technically need to have food because they operate under a winery license and thanks to fucksome, wineries don’t have to have food to allow on premise sales.

Bruery keeps saying theyre going to make membership better, and this year had promise, but....same. The included gifts we were supposed to get "got delayed" then cancelled and then we got some taster glasses that are super lame, no events, minimal beers for sale under lockdown, no extra perks, etc. Plus they've screwed up a few of my orders and generally just acted like pricks to members trying to get beers so i was thinking of cancelling, but kept my tickets to the anniversary party, which is always a great time (and blackout). They also currently deliver all over all of LA and OC, from santa monica to seal beach, for free, but don't reach over to chino hills, 20 mins from the tasting room haha
