I sold mine in Spring of 2017 so it's definitely been a while. Definitely dated but I really enjoyed that bike for the season I had it.

IIRC, it was 140mm up front and 125mm in the rear..?
I was actually thinking the same thing when I saw that bike again. I had so much fun on that bike at those travel numbers. It did everything I needed it to do and I could throw just about anything at it

No worries on timing. I still have just over a week to plan this out. My Mojo3 sold today, so the new Spur is my one and only weapon for all mountain riding from here on out.

I would love to get some additional elevation if I can figure out a way to either a) shuttle, or b) find a decent loop that I can do solo without shuttling. That Ken/Breck ride is probably a bit too long for me to hit right now, especially with the 5k+ climbing -- mainly because I need to keep some fuel in my tank for five more days of riding after I hit CO. Any ideas on how to turn some of those glorious high altitude trails into a realistic loop that is less than 15 or 20 miles? That's what I'm aiming for.

Nice! The Phil's system in Bend is super good to get new riders into it. My wifey LOVES that trail system. I found the best way to get my wife to enjoy riding is to take her on trails she feels comfortable on, go at her pace, and not offer too much in terms of "advice." Just let her have fun and enjoy being on a bike.
I'll look around. Most of the really high elevation classics that wouldn't be miserable on the Spur are point-to-point.

I have an older Giant Reign I love riding. However, not long ago I take it out to putz around and the front fork is toast... no resistance whatsoever. You can just push it up/down with one hand. It's older, like either a 2009 or 2012 model, I cant remember. Think it's worth having the fork rebuilt or just buy a new one? I bought a little pump to fill it back up with air thinking it just leaked but that didn't work.

This is exactly the way to do it. This is how I got my wife progressing on skis. I used to be an instructor, and I'm a physical therapist assistant, so I have experience with teaching people physical activities and movement.

But on the mountain is not always the time to being giving advice or criticism. I just picked terrain suited to her ability, maybe *slightly* out of her comfort zone, and let her have fun and figure it out. (I did always make sure she knew that if she wanted instruction or advice, I would happily give it, which she often took advantage of).

When we started skiing together, she was at an intermediate level, and several seasons of this approach, she now skis double blacks with me almost all day. In the beginning, we were riding a chair, and she looked at some steeps, and said "I'm just don't see the need to ever go ski that, I don't see the point..." and then last season she looked at the same area of the mountain, and went "That looks like a fun chute, should we go hit that line?!" I looked at her like

I'm currently working this process on her on the mountain bike :D

Helps to have friends that will help your partner progress so you don't have to be the one giving advice.

100% my wife has a good friend who has been getting really into mountain biking lately, and it helps to have a 3rd party (especially when it's another female) to help push them!

I’m not that happy with the code r brakes. They’re brand new, so I thought maybe the vendor YT left some air in the brake lines.

I bleed them, do 3/4 of the syringe and while they may be just a tad better I’m still sad they don’t have adjusters like the RSC. They only allow lever to be adjusted in and out.

Possibly looking into a new rear shock for my full suspension. Currently I have the RockShox RCT3 Debonaire and it has been warrantied once. Now it's starting to feel the same as last time they warrantied it and it has only been about a year. Looking for ideas. It needs to be 130mm of travel and preferably similar to what I've got. Also, I refuse to go coil.

Not sure if the Float X2 goes 130mm of travel, but I have the Fox Float X2 on my Bronson and it's fantastic (pretty much anything Fox suspension is).
