Happy Taco Tuesday TW! I recently installed some LED Raptor Lights onto the TRD Pro grill and made a video going over it for anyone interested out there.

Have had the lights in for a few weeks now and a few thousand miles and they're still in great condition. So far, so good.

    ❱ PARTS USED:
LED Raptor Lights (TacomaBeast Discount code: Blockhead)
    http://bit.ly/BHM-TB-RaptorLights

    Add A Fuse - https://amzn.to/2UThijG
    Heat Shrink - https://amzn.to/2WnTEfy
    Splice Posi-Tap - https://amzn.to/2us3jWj
    Heat Gun - https://amzn.to/2U69ZIm
    Wire Tool - https://amzn.to/2uq3D85
    Dremel Cut Tool - https://amzn.to/2YodqsT

Made a video previously on installing the TRD Pro Grill as well, which can be found here: TRD PRO GRILL VID

Still need to run a line from the pink wire so that they're on w/ the DRL's. I'll be sure to follow up here w/ pics and results.

Nice to see you on here. I’ve been a sub for the Moto content, but now I look forward to seeing Tacoma content. I’m also a shooter so it’s a Trifecta

Nice install, I was wondering if you could use just 3 of the 4 lights with the kit. Did you do anything with the end of the 4th plug that you did not use (shrink tube)?

    Thanks!

    Happy modding!

    No prob!

That's awesome! Haha, trucks, bikes, and guns definitely go hand in hand. Thanks for the support man!

Thanks! Yeah I used just 3 of the 4 lights. I electric taped up the 4th plug and zip tied it along the main line.

What size ring terminal do I need? Not familiar with any electrical work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure tbh. I grabbed them from auto zone. They’re not the smallest ones but not the largest they had available, so ‘medium’ I guess? Ring needs to be large enough to fit the bolt for the ground.

I actually went with the 5/8” ring but a 1/4” would work too.

There are two things you need to know, the wire guage and the bolt size. Ring terminals are sold in various bolt sizes for each wire guage. They're usually crimped onto the wire, soldering is optional, with heat shrink over the connection(put the heat shrink piece onto the wire before you crimp). I think mine were 5/16" rings for the various wires but 3/8" would still work. The ground chassis clamp bolt has a 10mm head so it should be 6mm thread or 1/4" ring terminal but up to 3/8" still works. The battery clamp might be bigger but not much.

Is possible to connect these to my fog lights via add a fuse? or is splicing into the fog light wires the only option?

Great video. I am just wondering why I see some videos saying to use a 15 and a 10 amp fuse and some say 2-10amps in the add-a-fuse.

Did you ever get them to turn on with DRLs? I wired mine to the pink wire, and they come on with parking lights, and headlights, not with DRLs.

Nah didnt hard wire them to the drls. I just add a fuse to the injectors and they've been working great. I guess the only flaw would be that there on when ever the truck is but that's a plus for me. Others might be a con
