Was a little late on my first rotate/balance. I did it at 12k.

Fronts are a good bit more noisy than they were previous to this.

These are my first experience with aggressive tires.... not sure what to expect. Normal?

I'm guessing normal, I just put Falkens on my truck a couple weeks ago. They're a little louder than I expected being new but oh well.

Little confused. Were they balanced when you got them on at first?
And just now, did you just rotate (not balance)?

Rotate side to side, this burns off all terrain feathering by reversing the tread pattern.

Sorry, yes they were balanced and rotated and when I picked it up noticed they were louder. Since it’s been a few days now they may be getting a bit more quiet. I’ll keep an ear out.....but the rear feels a little bumpier now too so maybe I’m too focused on it.

I’ve had several sets of wild peaks (and even their predecessor, Rocky Mounts!). I recently bought a set of Goodyear Duratracs. They are both more expensive and noisier than the wild peaks. I’ll probably go back to the falkens when they wear out. Unfortunately.... my truck is t a daily driver and I only put about 10,000 miles per year on it.

I ask about wildpeaks and got rubitreks instead. My dealer had them and gave me a deal. They look close to the same to me.

Did they rotate the tires side to side and front to back? Usually, the front tires get more feathering due to taking turns and they will slowly make more noise but you would have noticed it over time. If you rotate left front to right rear and right front to left rear it will run the tires the opposite direction and should even out the feathering over time. Check your tire pressure to see if they were topped off with too much pressure. Every AT type tire I've had made noise over time (except the old Bridgestone Duelers but they weren't overly aggressive).

Thanks all. I was suspicious of the PSI but they put them where I had them... right at 30.5 front and rear.

I love my duratracs and accept their noise. Duratracs traction > wildpeaks traction
