How do you take these rivets off

    afe intake, urd spec u headers, urd y pipe, 76mm throttle body, kelford camshaft, trd supercharger, urd cam gear, urd thermostat, ucon ems, NST pullies, ipt valve body, stoptech disc brake 323mm front, sos rear disc conversion
    How do you take these rivets off from underneath the fenders. Is there a certain way to do it to not destroy them? Or do you guys just pull it off...

    Based on what I read, just pry them off with a clip removal tool. There's a 70/30 chance the clip will be destroyed in the process, so buy extras ahead of time. Just one of those things Toyota designed for easy assembly on the production line, but not easy removal.

    They are plastic. They snap in. There is a specific tool to remove them or you could try a putty knife, straight screwdriver........

    Be ready to buy replacements. These have a tendency to lose grip after one use.

    Those clips have two prongs that expand after they’re inserted into the corresponding hole. Looking into the center hole of the clip you can make out which way they’re facing. If you use some thin needle nose pliers and slide them under the flange you can compress them and simultaneously pull out the clip. I do it all the time

    FWIW the OEM style are junk, as mentioned above they'll usually just fail on their own. I spent hours chasing a weird knocking noise over the course of a few long highway drives only to one day realize it was the inner splash shield on the driver side that had lost a couple of connectors and was flapping against the frame rail in the wheel well. It's possible that the shop that installed my UCAs simply reused the OEM fastener but ultimately I "fixed" it using something similar to these from Napa. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_6652160?partTypeName=Trim+Panel+Clip. Note that may not the be exact part, but it's the simple push in style which is cheap, easy to remove if needed, more reusable, etc.
