    Howdy-do!

I’m headed over the pond here pretty soon, just reaching out to see if any fellow Taco owners are on here are in Germany.

I’m planning to ship my Taco sometime around the 1st week of SEP.

Any info and/or lessons learned over the past 5-7 years would be very appreciated. While not stock, I do have some aftermarket stuff on it.

Class is in session and I’m the student on this trip. Teach me, o Taco owners who’ve done this before, all the ways of the trip to Germany and if it makes any sense bringing it over.

    Thanks!!!
    Tom

    Nice!!! Best of luck!

Do your tires stick out past your wheel wells? Sliders too? Skids? Off-road lights anywhere? Which VPC did you use CONUS?

Yes on the tires sticking out. Yes on skids and I have welded on sliders. I got bajas for fogs in my bumper. I went through Norfolk. I order some ezflares in case they give me crap about tires sticking out. I'm running 16x8 SCS Ray 10s w/ Cooper ST maxxs, they stick out from the fenders ever so slightly. I'm sure your sr8s are about the same.

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing your truck!

I figured I can do w/out the sliders while there, so haven’t tried too hard to get some before leaving.

I’ve got an embedded lightbar in the bumper (stock so far) and ditch lights. I’m looking to swap out the steel skids to aluminum before departing.

Yep, tires to stick out ever so slightly, to the tune of about 1.5”, same size rim and running 285/75-16 BFG AT KO.

I’m expecting to have to remove the ditch lights for inspection...should be it. I will take off and ship the softopper so it doesn’t develop mold while on the boat.
