I have an OwlCam. Works awesome. Plugs I to your OBDII port, on 24/7, front & rear facing camera with audio. Audio/video looks/sounds great. Sends alerts to your phone of movement detected, bumps, damage, etc from anywhere you have cell service. Also allows you to watch thru it & talk thru it, & trigger the LED while you’re away from the vehicle.
It’s a bit pricey and comes with a monthly or annual cost, for me it’s worth it.

So will this fit my 2020 Limited (due 9/12)? Just plug into the mirror and then into the camera?

I just ordered a apeman dash cam pretty cheap on Amazon . Lots of positive reviews on it . I was looking for one that’s inexpensive since it’s just going to get hammered by the sun .

I just ordered a Garmin Dash Cam Mini from Crutchfield. Now, I just need a micro SD card. On the Garmin site they sell a 16GB, but if it will work, I'd like some thing with more capacity. What sizes have Dash Cam Mini users here installed?

I have a 66W and it will take up to 256gb. Call Garmin and ask. Their customer service is really good.

How long have you had it? I had a small dash cam that didn't last the cold Minnesota winters. I then got a larger dash cam that I don't like as much due to the size, but it went through last year's temps just fine. I want something small and that can handle the cold. I don't have a garage so it's parked outside overnight.

I only had it couple of months. Earlier versions of these cameras had overheating issues, other than that they seem to work good. Never heard anything about the cold temps. The quality is surprisingly good for a small camera.

When I was on the phone with the sales rep from Crutchfield he asked me about the hard wire kit. I mentioned the DonGar adapter and suggested that they look into carrying it. It would be a nice add on for them.

I got the camera yesterday and picked up a 129GB micro SD card today. Set up is a snap and the camera has a SD card format app built in. After that, the camera pretty much sets itself up. The Drive app works well. If I get time tomorrow, I'll install the DonGar adapter and the camera and take for a road trip.

I have had a Vava dual dash cam since Christmas '19:

    Amazon Link

It's a pretty neat design, doesn't have a screen (which I prefer b/c less distraction) but is very discreet and the wifi connects to my phone with minimal drama and is easy to aim. The GPS works well enough. It definitely doesn't update as quickly as the speedo (duh) but I also keep the GPS unit shoved in the headliner so I am sure it isn't getting the best possible signal. It's also got a small battery in it so if someone hits your car when its off, it'll apparently record a clip.

Here's a video sample showing the accident that got me into my Tacoma:

Was one of his ancestors a kamikaze pilot or something?

Anyone have any issues with the behind the mirror adapter? I read reviews of it causing electrical problems.

There was one post here and apparently all it did was pop a fuse. I believe DonGar reached out to the guy and sent him a replacement.

By the time I saw *she was still coming towards me, it was too late for me to do anything. The first thing she said to me after we pulled over was that it was her fault so luckily I had zero issues with that part of the ordeal.

I'm not using the actual adapter but I tapped into the mirror wiring above my ceiling console and I did actually pop a fuse the first time I started the car. I don't remember exactly what fuse it was but it was under the hood near the radio #1, done, ecu-b fuses. It caused my traction light to come on, airbag light to trigger, etc.. and didn't actually turn off the dashcam either. It only happened once though.
