I have a 2019 Limited that needs tires soon. Would like to put KO2’s on it but am wondering how much rougher the ride will be as they are an LT tire. I have always liked the tire but I drive the truck about 35,000 miles a year for work and don’t know what the ride is going to be like. I am looking for something that has a more aggressive tread pattern. Can some of you guys that have the KO2’s give me your opinion on ride quality? I’m also open to other tire brands but have always liked that tire. Thanks

i had ko2s. they are alright. they are too pricey for just being alright. if you drive a lot, and by what you said it looks like you do, i would get a more streetable at tire like toyo open country 2/3. they look good plus they are whisper quiet on the street. if youre dead set on getting an aggressive thread at then go goodyear duratrac. probably the most aggressive out of all the all terrains, and to be fair its pretty quiet for being so aggressive. either choice will be cheaper than the ko2s. whatever choice you do go. look for an sl-rated tire. they are lighter so youll keep your mpgs up.

I did the Cooper STT Pro's in C Load in 255/75/17 best tire I have owned yet. And I have owned a ton of tires. Had KO2's I found they sucked in the rain, and here In Massachusetts with all the snow they filled up way to fast and were slippery.

i always love the stt pro, such a great looking tire. it is considered an mt though which i dont think would be the right fit for him driving so much. if he doesnt mind a heavier tire then by all means.

Doesn't the limited have a low profile 19" or something rim? You might be limited in choices unless you have aftermarket wheels on it.

I have had mine for 2.5 years now and put about 45,000 miles on them. They are pretty good tires and the ride is smooth In the city and highway. They do good in the snow as well. The most snow I have driven in is about 3 inches. My only problem with them is the traction on damp surfaces when I pull off from a stop light the truck rear end loses a bit of control. However they are good in the rain. I am getting ready to buy another set of tires and this time I may go with toyo all terrain or Nitto grapplers Good luck

My yoko g015 have been great for everything except mud, 1st choice was michelin ATs but didn’t think they were worth 30% more.

You have the limited with 18" stock wheels, so you can get C or D if im not mistaken. Stay away from E loads unless you plan on rock crawling. E loads are 10 ply, the sidewall has 3 and it makes the tire ride like a rock. It was great cornering though, my sport felt like a sports car.
Now with C loads, it doesnt corner as well but the ride is 10 times better.

Yes, my tracs made a humming noise on hwy. KO2s are surprisingly completely silent.

KO2's suck and are overpriced, just my $.02. I run Kenda's and am very happy. The Falken Wildpeak AT3W might be the tire for you.

Was checking out the yoko's, how bad are they in mud? How about snow and rain?

KO2s are a great all-rounder. They fit the Tacoma philosophy perfectly, IMHO. A Tacoma is a truck you can comfortably roar down the freeway in, then turn off onto a bush trail and make decent headway. The truck is not the best off-roader, nor is it the best on the freeway, but it does both those extremes well enough for most, which is what is great about K02s. They deserve their popularity.

The only negative I will say is winter performance. They are no substitute for a proper snow tire and do not deserve their “triple peak snowflake” rating in my experience.

Other than that, a solid choice for an all-rounder pickup truck. I will buy another set when mine wear out.

load up easy with the thick clay mud we have around here otherwise they are great. For mud I’d get milestar patagonias on a completely diff set of wheels.

I have a set of KO2s. I use them as snow tires, but they are one of the worst snow tires I ever had. When I used them on dry pavement, fuel economy was poor. They look like they will last forever though, but that's not enough - I will not be buying another set.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
Are you sticking with the 18 inch wheels? or do you have something aftermarket?
