If you have scraped your trailer harness, and broken the plastic body of the 7 pin plug like I did, then you need this. The dealer wants something crazy like $200 for this part. However, the Honda is the exact same plastic body with different length wires and that is what this is.

So you can dissassemble the OEM toyota plug on your truck, to get the wires/connectors out, disassemble this unit to use the full body, and plug all the toyota wires into this body and then you are brand new again. There are a few write ups on TW for this with good pics. I didn't end up using this because I bought a high clearance rear bumper that uses a different kind of trailer plug anyway, which I spliced my wiring for.

Travis, BTW, I got those metal skids mounted up Front one seemed to fit a bit wonky but once I cleaned out all the threads and used some c-clamps to help align the leading edge it bolted right up. Gas tank skid is up next but I'm thinking I may hold off on that till my tank is closer to empty.

 

For that skid, put the 4 main bolts in and leave slightly loose. Then put in the front bolts and you may need to use a jack or clamp to be able to draw it all the way up to the frame. Then tighten remaining. It came with spacers for the front, I don’t know why it was made that way but I slotted the holes to allow it to draw all the way up to the cross member.

Ah, OK, that makes mores sense now. I had thought maybe it hadn't been bent quite properly. What you explain is basically what I did except I used c-clamps to bring the leading edge up to the frame - worked great!
