Years ago I towed about 2500 pounds of household goods on a plywood boxed utility trailer from Los Angeles to Chicago with my 1999 4-cylinder Tacoma. The slightest hill needed more gas. Max speed was 30mph on the freeway on the worst grade in Colorado. Diesel trucks were passing me. Most of the trip was 62 mph without great issues. I also towed with a 4-cylinder Suzuki Equator which replaced the 1999 Tacoma. With a 450 quad in the bed and an Arctic Cat Trail side by side in the trailer it too slowed on hills. The 4-cylinder truck can pull. It will not like it. Together both trucks pulled my jetski or heavier loads at least 7000 miles total so it can be done.

You can easily tow that Runaway with a 4 cyl. You'll know it's back there when you hit any real hills, but it can pull that safely.

I'm just picking it up for a friend and towing it about 50-60 miles.

You’ll have no problem weight wise.
