I'm in the market for new wheels, and was looking for a 16" wheel with a lower offset, that also has similar faux-beadlock rings like the 2nd gen TRD Pro faux beadlock wheels that help protect the actual wheel.

Anyone have any suggestions? For all the faux-beadlock wheels out there, I can't tell if the fake nuts around the edge are just cosmetic, or if they're holding a rock ring in place

Why not just buy the TRD beadlock ones? They're ~220 bucks IIRC.

Fuel makes some nice wheels that fit the Tacoma, that have the fake bead lock rim. I just put a set of the Anza wheels on my truck that have them. It's cosmetic only, the "bead lock" is part of the wheel rim and doesn't come off, but looks really good. The Anza comes in 16 x8 with a +1 offset, or a 17x8.5 with either a -6 or +6 offset. I went with 17's and just dropped one size in tire profile (went from 265/75-16 to a 265/70-17) and kept the same diameter. There are several styles available with varying offsets. The +6 is just right, I think

well I already have em lol.

but I'm looking for one with similar protection, same diameter, but a more negative offset for a bit more clearance from my gusseted spindles.

appreciate the two recs from the guys above as well, both good lookin wheels.

    What area you in?

If you're in mid/northern CA, i travel up there every now and then to visit family, and will hopefully be snagging a rear bumper in clovis sometime the next few weeks. I can keep you posted with the wheels. Mine are the gray TRD beadlocks that were exclusive to the Bajas.
