ha well, ya know...some of the best angles of the team flying are from NOT up close. the commentary doesnt matter, the view does for sure. I bet you had a vantage point that was pretty awesome. Plus then you got to see it from the airstrip the way we wanted you to see it- so that was cool too I bet.

Oh god, all the pilots out in Spanish Fork are gonna find out and "roll coal" all the way to the threshold.

Anyone taking bets on when Bullydog releases their first flight tuner? :D

I absolutely love flying across the terminator line (?) between daylight and night time. I recently flew from day into night with the setting sun at my 6 o’clock and watched us pass into the shadow of darkness. That totally blew me away.

This morning, we had a 0530 takeoff heading east and got to do the exact opposite. Within about five seconds, I watched the sky outside go from pitch black to showing glimpses of sunlight. The view out the sides as we flew directly toward the sun at 450kts GS (slowtation I know) was so cool. The colors we got to see over the course of 5-10 minutes were breathtaking. The camera did an impressive job of capturing the forward looking view but definitely doesn’t do the other view justice. I was back home and off duty before noon. I love my job!

Hope everybody had a good start to the week!

Cool pictures. I usually hate flying into the rising sun. You can't see half the stuff you're about to hit because the sun is in your eyes and the morning haze is lit up making visibility look like a mile if you're lucky.

I hear ya. At least when we’re up that high, there’s not much to hit!

So here I am with the 0400 show on a quiet day, and the first thread that catches my eye is an aviation one! Greetings to everyone, from an airline's operations center. Don't do anything stupid today! :D

Flew over Skyline Peak Airport yesterday 33NR. I’ve never seen a paved strip so sketchy, I wish I would have taken pics, but here are a couple of google images

Supposedly, there’s only been one documented landing and the strip is now closed. I made an approach to it, but was in a Hughes 500. I would love to make an approach to it in a 182 and see what that feels like.

Sitting in the work truck at the airport in Abingdon, VA today with no work until after Labor Day.

Looks a wee bit overdue for a FOD walk.

Bring a dump truck and front-end loader. And a broom.
