    Hey y’all,

I noticed my AC wasn’t as cool as it usually is. I live in Hawaii and it’s been extra hot here so I thought maybe that’s why... but I took it in and the shop guy said it’s my AC evaporator leaking.quoted me about $2200. (Kill me.. ugh). I’m really tempted to just put the time and work in myself to save myself the money. Does anyone have any experience doing this? From what I’ve read it’s a 5 hour or so job and the entire dash has to come out.

    Any advice/tips/how to are welcome!

I think our trucks use the most modern refrigerant in the system which is on the expensive side too.

I would pin point the leak before whipping out the parts cannon could be just a simple o-ring

Warranty is expired. My uncle paid for the extended warranty and his did the same exact thing. His was covered.
