Headed to lake Powell for the week and spending the night in Moab on the way back. I’ve never been, so anyone with suggestions for a half day trip that won’t break the taco before the return trip would be appreciated! Full skids, 33’s, winch and recovery gear, front and rear bumpers, and sliders on the rig.

Shafer trail from Moab into canyonlands is cool. It’s pretty easy.. being from California I didn’t want to break anything 650 miles from home but it has awesome views

I started from Moab up into Canyonlands, about 20 miles off road, couple hours taking my time snapping photos and such

I have that for Colorado, but unfortunately (or fortunately) I am leaving tomorrow for lake Powell and don’t have time to buy that edition. Would you mind reading it to me?

I like to use the AllTrails app, it’ll show you a ton of off-road and hiking trails anywhere you visit and their difficulty rating

I have watched a thousand Moab videos, but it’s hard to say what the best use of time and difficulty I really want to do. I will have the wife and another couple with me (all have 0 experience navigating off road) for the trip. Anyone want to meet up for the afternoon on 9/6 or morning 9/7?

Local. Chicken Corners is a good trip. Awesome views, a variety of terrain, nothing gnarly, decent pucker factors, photo ops.

I’ll look it up. Thanks! How do you feel about the Gonzo?
