    Hey y’all,

I noticed my AC wasn’t as cool as it usually is. I live in Hawaii and it’s been extra hot here so I thought maybe that’s why... but I took it in and the shop guy said it’s my AC evaporator leaking.quoted me about $2200. (Kill me.. ugh). I’m really tempted to just put the time and work in myself to save myself the money. Does anyone have any experience doing this? From what I’ve read it’s a 5 hour or so job and the entire dash has to come out.

    Any advice/tips/how to are welcome!

My dad just had to have this done on his Colorado. I believe it was an 11 hour job in his case and the repair shop had to replace his dash after they screwed it up taking it out. You'd need the tools for the AC as well, I do believe. Not one I'd recommend doing yourself, from my understanding.
