I've seen the oem bed step and it seems to "stick out" when folded up.

I was looking at this one, but the installation seems...flimsy.

I'm 5' 5" so my short ass need a step, I'd like to keep the aesthetics of the truck as is, she's a gorgeous beast and the oem type step seems to detract from that so I'm looking at this one but would like to know if anyone has installed something like it. I've seen another that is an actual ladder that goes to the ground and also attaches to the tailgate but the weight is distributed to the ground, unlike this one, where it's all put on the screws...it just doesn't look like it would be sturdy, thoughts?

That looks way more dangerous than the folding bed step to me. I can already picture my foot slipping through and busting my ass. Especially if it swivels.

Edit.... I have the folding step and I like it.

That's my next option, I've found a couple similar to that design that I like, I think that was actually one of them too ;) I need something XD I gotta crawl up with the tailgate down, cussing my height the whole time

Anyone that needs a bed step needs to go back to a minivan or Ridgeline. Jump, don't be lazy

My F150 had one built into the tailgate. At first I thought it was pointless since I'm 6 foot and in good shape so I didn't need it. But I ended up loving it and really miss it in my Tacoma. I can get in out of the bed easy enough and none of the aftermarket options I've seen compare to what my F150 had. So I haven't done anything. Yet...
