So I have a 2020 TRD Sport, non JBL. I've done a lot of research and decided that the 8" JL Micosub+ is what I want. It's my understanding that with the new 8" touchscreens, the 2018+ Camry add a sub harness from T.Tunes will work. It seems that this harness uses the rear speakers instead of the front.

My question is if I get the 2018+ Camry add a sub harness, can I repin it to tap the front speakers instead? Is there any reason this wouldn't be a good idea?

I know that I can splice into the wiring, but won't be doing that. In my mind, this harness would also work for making a T harness if I decide to add a Kicker Key in the future (I've already installed the Focal IS690Toy's). I've got a bit of stereo install experience, but this is the first new vehicle I've owned, and the only one I'll be keeping the factory head unit.

    Thanks for any help.

You can use that harness, but it would need some minor modification. If you’re comfortable doing some basic soldering on the bench, it will be easy.

Hi Destin, what modification would it need? Also, is there a better option for utilizing the front speakers to the sub without splicing into factory wiring?
