POLL: MOLLE RACKS

I will have to find someone with a sunroof truck to get measurements, or take a "test drive" lol. Anyone in Dallas area that wants to meet me so I can take some measurements, Ill see what I can do.

 

around $170 for head rack and center console would be around $55. This is a guesstimate right now. There would also be shipping on top of that. This would be price for rack, w/powder coating, & hardware to mount it. Still trying to figure out best/easiest hardware to use as well.

these prices arent set in stone, could be some room for adjustment. What are your thoughts on 2-3 week time for shipping, so parts can be fabricated? Amazon Prime spoils people with same day delivery on stuff.

If you had any idea how long people have been waiting for MESO's DC sunroof overhead molle rack "prototype" to actually be produced and offered for sale, you would realize that there are a bunch of people out here just waiting for somebody to take our money. 2-3 weeks would feel like overnight service at this point.

 

Where would one purchase the Meso version of the overhead Molle rack?

Nobody "needs" anything on this forum. I would like it to store small truck-bound items in an out of the way, yet easily reached location.

Not a lot of people looking up when scoping out the inside of your truck. No less than having a bunch of stuff on the back seat or all over the dash. Or having a bunch of gun stickers.

There are no SIG, GLOCK, CZ or MOSSBERG stickers on my truck either.

 

Oh yeah, much more subtle than a first aid kit, flashlight, and radio on the ceiling.

As this thread seams to be mostly about market research I say the following in that context.

Market research has really paid off over the years. It boils down to the "keeping up with the Joneses" mentality that drives people to desire name brand or top of the line widgets and what point is having the "best" if you can't flaunt it? From an adverting standpoint it's a win win. Get people to buy your product and market it for you.

Lately minimalism has been a growing trend. An example of which is the popularity of debadging around here. However, you can accomplish the same result of branding your product without sacrificing real estate by tastefully laser engraving your logo.

 

If you carefully watch the MESO Customs website and sign up for a mailing list and check back every other day or two and say the special words while throwing salt over the proper shoulder, there is a good chance that on an brisk October evening just before the great pumpkin arrives you might find them in stock for about 20-30 minutes. If you are lucky enough to do so, buy it as quickly as you can. Otherwise, wait another few months and maybe he will make another run of them...or maybe he won't.

 

It all depends on what you put in them. For me I want somewhere that I can corral all the little stuff that is cluttering up the area under my rear seat and behind the rear seats and in the seat back pocket and put it overhead where it is out of the way. Things like a first aid kit, a roll of duct tape, a bundle of zip ties, etc. that nobody would really have any interest in stealing. It would also be a place I can put stuff when I go on a trip or work out in the field overseeing a project so that it isn't sliding all over the passenger seat and rattling around on the floorboards.

 

Got first article parts back from powder coat today. Now to match up some nice hardware to mount it. Powder coat matches the plastics on the inside of the cab and also texture of the bed. More photos to come after mounting.
