I've noticed that I have some light knocking from the engine when I'm accelerating with the AC on, even just a little bit. Turn the AC off and it's not an issue. I haven't checked the plugs yet (not sure on their last swap) and I'm running 87 gas. Anything else I should check on? Thanks in advance.

What year is your Tacoma? Some of the later years had a retune to address some knocking.

You may want to try and have the dealership reflash your ecu. Your 2012 should be included in the TSB for the spark knock. T-SB-0044-14

My 2014 qualified and I got the reflash. It helped, but it didn't totally take it away. Some say running higher octane gas eliminates it. I tried it and it helped a bit more. I went back to 87 oct.
