    I dont think theres anything in texas id shoot at more the 600 yards. And at that range .308 has superior terminal ballistics.. although if i was shooting at +1000 yards id love to have a .338 lapua

    This was a rifle my dad used to send me out the door to shoot and hunt with growing up.

    Nice carbine
    There's nothing in Texas that needs anything as strong as .308 lol. I hunt with a 6.5 Grendel.

    I have a .30-06 for bigger things.

    I wanted a semi auto, but I stayed with the pump.

    Also, I dont hunt with the 303. Actually I dont really hunt, but if I did I have a 700 in .308. I have been digging around in the gun cabinet today.

    I got bored with my 870, so I got rid of it. I could see trying out a semi-auto shotgun, though.
