Just spent a week on the beach at Matagorda Peninsula, Texas. 21 miles of undeveloped beach, sand, and 4 wheeling. The access road can be tricky for newbies. It's fun to watch. :)

Came across these videos parts 1-8 (Stuck in the Sand at Matagorda).

    Entertaining and informative.

My Tacoma excelled in the sand all 21 miles with Trac control off, Auto LSD off, H4, and S-Mode 3. Plenty of rpms and torque.

Enjoy (Not my videos, but I do have some of my own)

I am no longer allowed to mention "Raptors" in this forum. The "TacomaWorld Karens" are quite aggressive crying to the mods to ban me. Banned twice. Did hard time. I've gone straight. Nothing but nice now...

But I do like to rub one off on this from time to time...

Thats one crowded beach, I would not drive my truck there or visit, way to many people. Hate crowds.

It would seem to me that airing down would be a great idea. Do people do that?

    Maybe some traction boards?

Been just south of there on Padre Island. Similar miles of beaches with no one on them. Was really cool, coming from FL where the beaches are pretty packed.

One of the first times my sister had her Raptor out on the dunes in Oregon she got buried pretty good. Pulled out by an old Isuzu trooper! It probably made their day. It was in 2011 back when Raptor's were still pretty rare. That truck ended up being a lemon, but the replacement has treated her very well.

Mike, the first video was the access road. There’s 21 miles of undeveloped beach with no one. I like the access road. It’s where the pretty girls are after I just 4-wheeled 21 miles of soft sand. And there are even more miles of the back bay.

    Awesome
Freetime, that’s awesome. Texas beaches are some of the best for 4Wheelin and definitely 100s of desolate miles. I don’t think people realize how much of the Texas coast is undeveloped and can be 4Wheeled. It’s huge!

Ryan, Isuzu Trooper brings back good memories for me. Wife and I in Central America in a rented Trooper and it got us across rivers and high mountain rocky ledges. What ever happened to those?
