3.5 or 4.0?

I am getting ready to buy a replacement for my 2011 4Runner. I love the 4Runner but also thinking about a Tacoma. I'm sure most of you know the 4Runner folks trash the 3.5 engine. I am just wondering if it's all just BS or are there real concerns.

 

Its all bs, little kids arguing over who has the better toy in the sand box. Test drive both, buy what you like.

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Lots of reasons. Control, consistency, throttle response, low end torque, MPG bump, etc.

 

So are 1st Gen Raptors.

 

First gen raptors were 6.2l. The second gen is 3.5l
