Aftermarket Alarm System for Late Model Tacomas?

What are some good aftermarket alarm systems for the late model Tacoma? Packages that come with glass break & vibration sensors, and an option to wire the tailgate also? Thanks.

 

Viper, but the glass break is an add on. The shock sensor wont work on the bed due to its isolation from the cab. I have a 5901 with built in paging to let you now if the alarm is activated, built in shock sensor, a worthless built in thermometer (since its so far up in your dash it never really changes temperatures till the car has been running or off for like 20 minutes... only usefull to come on automaticallyduring freezing weather for a few minutes if you want that), remote start, 1 2 way remote, 1 1 way remote, glass breakage sensor, dual zone motion detector with bypass switch (addon with custom defeat switch), back up battery so alarm sounds if battery is disconnected (add on) and pin switches on the hood and tailgate (cheap addons). Of course it has the standard door switches activated by the dome light coming on too.

Ill be getting the smart start so it can contact my phone now that it supports andriod. Range on the remote is a reliable 300-400 yards or so (despite the 1 mile claim).

Total cost was $600 for me... thats cheap. Smart start is a $300 add on and requires a minimal yearly subscription as its a cellular device.

 

I also have the viper with smartstart. I love the system except for the smartstart never works.

 

Yeah Im going to pass on the smart start... Just found out frommy installer its not a true 2 way like my remote. No way to tell if the doors are locked etc.

 

I got a Compustar and have been very happy with it so far. A bit more pricey than a Viper I think, but I'm ok with it so far.
