Good Morning Whatevers. Well it seems my get up and go has got up and left. woke up ate my toast before my walk. I sat down in my recliner and boom gone, fell asleep and didn't wake up for an hour. Went out to walk and man am I glad that I listen to my body on days like this. I decided a shorter 2.5 mile walk was in order for today. Just didn't have my regular zoooom going on. Smart Decision on my part.

And here I thought I had all my parts for installing me front shocks, and now I find out that the big rubber bushing that comes inside the top hat isn't the coil spring isolator. Will call my local stearlership and see if they have any, if not it's off to Rock Auto, and hope they get here in a reasonable time frame.

 

Agree with you 100%, one of those mornings. Think I'll go take a morning nap to catch up on sleep I didn't get last night.

1967 my folks bought me a Marlin Golden 39A kit. Gun, scope, soft case and cleaning kit. Bought from Sears and delivered by the mailman. Great gun and a lot of lead downrange thru it. A few years later I sold it to my former math teacher coz I wanted to buy a .243. Stupid kid.

I saw my teacher a few years later and asked to buy it back, he had already sold it. He couldn't remember who he sold it to.

Fast forward to the late 80s. I was at a farm nearby working on the AC. When done I was chatting with the owner near the back door and there was a nice pond out back, a stone throw from the back steps. A turtle head popped up and he handed me my old rifle. I know it was mine coz I had applied 21 coats of True Oil on the wood. It still looked good.

I told him the story and asked to buy it back. Nope.

My 1960 Red Ryder .177 still works like new.

 

But so worth the money.
Made with old-fashioned precise machining and fitting.
Nothing cheap about it.
